So, Why do people drink ?

Why DO people drink? Why do YOU drink? Or for that matter Why Don't YOU drink? The whole debate about DUI is : Why can't we live in OUR own Lives. Drinking, they say, removes Inhibitions. So we drink to feel more confident. And therein lies the crux of the PROBLEM. We drink to feel confident and to do things we do NOT do normally. BUT we DO drive when we are NORMAL ... so after Drinking we are OKAY to Drive??

That is the Faulty Logic which comes from imbibing. I can go and do ANYTHING now, after 2 drinks, so I am definitely able to hand such a mundane task as Driving ! That, my friend, is Over Confidence NOT Confidence.

Has Our Society made it hard to distinguish between acceptable behaviour and just plain foolishness? Have we lost the perspective needed to have, otherwise, normal people loose their minds when it comes to DUI?

We will discuss this in the next post. In the meantime Drink by all means but Plan it and DO NOT DRIVE UNDER INFLUENCE. Will you heed this advice? Maybe. But think of this :
